"The choice to purchase our beloved Mona, a 1978 Mooney M20J, was partially based on the low time (500 hours) logged on the engine. Little did we know that we had flown her more than the last two owners combined. After a number of partial power events that we attributed to fuel issues it was discovered that the motor was completely shot and on the verge of failing due to corrosion. After inspecting the exhaust system and top end it was obvious that the years of condensation accumulating in these areas had contributed to destroying the engine. Had she been stored with the 3G Exhaust Ball this would not be the case"
